Prize draw software for agencies

WinnerSelect is prize draw software for promotional, marketing and experiential agencies that run draws on behalf of brands. It picks winners at random on its own servers, keeps a permanent record of every draw, and gives you a draw record you can send to your client as evidence of how each winner was chosen.

Why agencies need more than a random number

When you run a promotion for a client, the client carries the risk if an entrant questions the result. If an entrant complains to the Advertising Standards Authority, the promoter has to show the winner was selected randomly, and “we picked one in a spreadsheet” isn’t an answer you want to give. Agencies need the same process every time, whoever on the team runs the draw, and a record that stands up when someone asks how a winner was chosen.

What your agency gets

  • One tool for every type of draw: ticket lists, number ranges and phone number entries. See Ticket Draw, Number Draw and Phone Number Draw.
  • Random selection on WinnerSelect’s servers using a cryptographically secure random number generator, with the entry list locked and fingerprinted before any winner is chosen.
  • A permanent record of every draw, plus a CSV export of your draw history for client reporting. See Draw records.
  • Team accounts: the Business plan includes up to five users, managed by your account admin.
  • Free test draws, so you can check a client’s entry file before the real draw. Tests are clearly marked everywhere they appear.
  • Draws prepared in advance and revealed live, for clients who announce winners on social media.
  • Up to 100 winners in a single draw, with no repeats.

Keeping client work organised

Most agencies start each draw name with the client’s name, for example “Client name: Summer promotion”. Your draw history then reads client by client and is easy to filter in the export.

The rules your clients’ promotions follow

  • The CAP Code, enforced by the ASA, applies to prize promotions advertised in the UK. Prizes must be awarded according to the laws of chance. If a computer picks the winner, the ASA expects evidence that the process is verifiably random; if not, rule 8.24 requires winners to be selected by, or under the supervision of, an independent observer.
  • The DCMS Voluntary Code of Good Practice for Prize Draw Operators, in effect from 20 May 2026 for operators who sign up to it, accepts a computer process that produces “verifiably random and auditable results”.

WinnerSelect covers the selection part of both: random selection on our servers, an entry list fixed before the draw, and a permanent record you can produce if an entrant, your client or the ASA asks how a winner was chosen. It doesn’t make a promotion compliant on its own; terms, free entry routes, winner announcements and prize fulfilment are still yours and your client’s. Read more in our guide, How to select prize draw winners fairly, and in Draw standards.

Entrant data

WinnerSelect only needs what the draw needs: a name or code and a ticket number, a number range, or a list of phone numbers. Entry lists are deleted 90 days after the draw, and winning entries are kept as part of the permanent draw record. WinnerSelect is built in the UK.

Plans for agencies

The Business plan suits most agencies, with up to five users in one account. For larger teams, talk to us about Enterprise. See Pricing or Contact us.

Frequently asked questions

Can several people in our agency use one account?

Yes. The Business plan includes up to five users. Your account admin invites and manages them. For larger teams, contact us about Enterprise.

Can we give our client proof of how the winner was chosen?

Yes. Every draw has a permanent record showing when it ran, how many entries it had, the fingerprint of the entry list and the winners in order, and you can export your draw history as a CSV.

What do we show the ASA if an entrant complains?

The draw record for that promotion: when the draw ran, how many entries it had, the fingerprint of the entry list and the winners in order, together with your own copy of the entry list.

Do our clients need their own account?

No. Your agency runs the draws and shares the records with your clients.

How do we include free or postal entries?

Add them to the entry list you upload, alongside paid entries. Every entry in the list has exactly the same chance.

Can we run a draw live while our client watches?

Yes. Draw screens are designed for screen sharing and live streams, and no entrant’s name appears on a ticket draw until they’ve won.

How long do you keep entrant data?

Entry lists are deleted 90 days after the draw. Winning entries are kept as part of the permanent draw record.
